Where are the Judges’ Houses?
This year The X Factor contestants will be flying off to more glamorous, sun-soaked spots around the world.
The Girls are with Simon Cowell at his home in Malibu, California.
Nearby, Robbie Williams will be in Beverley Hills with Robbie with the Groups.
Equally close by will be his wife Ayda Field in LA with the Overs.
Finally, the Boys will be in Ibiza, Spain with Louis Tomlinson.
Speaking about three of the judges’ houses being in LA and in close proximity of each other, host Dermot O’Leary said it was both a happy and a sad occasion.
Dermot said: “I was a bit sad and a bit happy! It’s quite nice to go on tour for a month because it feels like you’re in a rock band!
“That said, it was really nice to be based in one place. I thought Robbie and Ayda’s just worked so well, I felt like we were so welcome to their home. They were gutted when we left!
“I saw Robbie go up to one of our sound men and say he was going to miss us all when we leave – that never happens!
“I thought Simon’s worked really well with his party.”
Who are The X Factor 2018 guest judges?
This year will see a shake-up in Judges’ Houses with a party full of industry experts who will be offering up their opinions to Simon’s category.
Reflecting on the format change, Simon explained: “We just wanted to do things differently this year. I found out an hour before who was coming!
“They wanted to tell me the night before but I wanted to almost feel like a contestant.
“It reminded me of when I first did these shows years ago. You’re so in the moment, you either crash or it’s great.”
Meanwhile, the other judges are set to have a surprise guest who will be assisting them in the decision-making process.
David Walliams will be helping out Robbie as he cuts his category down to size.
Louis will be getting some help from fellow One Direction star Liam Payne as well as guitarist from Chic Nile Rodgers.
Ayda will be lent a hand from former X Factor winner Leona Lewis and Adam Lambert of American Idol fame.
