Courtney Act, whose real name is Shane Gilberto Jenek, told fans she was torn between watching Stacey on Strictly Come Dancing or one of her many documentaries.
She wrote: “I think my favourite person on British TV is Stacey Dooley and I don’t know whether to watch her docs or Strictly.”(sic)
Responding to Courtney’s message, Stacey replied with a number of emojis, including a crying face, love heart and praising hands.
Expressing her appreciation for Courtney, Stacey also penned: “I see you Courtney,” followed by a big love heart.
Fans of Stacey’s had bombarded Courtney’s feed with comments about the star, with many insisting the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant watch her documentaries and watch her on the BBC dance competition.
One admirer said: “Watch both darling if you have time. Her documentaries are sometimes a hard watch, but very interesting.”
“All her documentaries are fab! She’s absolutely brilliant,” another gushed
Meanwhile, a third compared her to Superman’s love interest, writing: “Her documentaries are amazing. She’s a real life Lois Lane.”
Someone else commented: “Do both, she’s so talented and a beautiful human being – inside and out.”
Another user added: “Both! The documentaries are hard to watch, but so interesting and she’s a blast on Strictly.”
Journalist Stacey recently appeared on It Takes Two, where host Zoe Ball questioned her about potentially having to “stand up” the Queen.
Introducing the subject, 47-year-old Zoe began: “You’ve had to stand up the Queen this week…”
Explaining the situation, the filmmaker said: “I was looking at the diary last week and I’m on tour this week, so we’re in a different city every day.”
Stacey then gestured to her Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin Clifton, 35, adding: “So we’re practising in the day.
“Then on Thursday I was meant to go and get my MBE at the Palace,” she continued, as Zoe laughed at the off-hand way in which she mentioned her Royal honour.
“But I think I’m training in the morning.”
“She’s got a Foxtrot to do!” Kevin interrupted.
“I’ve got the Foxtrot, so I need to sort that out!” she agreed, smiling as she looked unsure of how to handle the schedule clash.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 6.15pm.
