Host Zoe Ball, 47, broached the subject by saying: “You’ve had to stand up the Queen this week…”
Trying to explain the situation, the 31-year-old documentary filmmaker said: “I was looking at the diary last week and I’m on tour this week, so we’re in a different city every day.”
“Then on Thursday I was meant to go and get my MBE at the Palace,” she continued, as Zoe laughed at the off-hand way in which she mentioned her royal honour.
“But I think I’m training in the morning.”
“She’s got a Foxtrot to do!” Kevin chipped in.
“I’ve got the Foxtrot, so I need to sort that out!” she agreed, smiling as she looked puzzled s to how to handle the schedule clash.
“Strictly has to take priority,” the Strictly professional quipped, as Zoe joked: “If you could just make a quick call to the Queen…”
Stacey and Kevin returned to training today amid her book tour as they prepare for week four of Strictly.
The pair will be performing a Foxtrot as she tackles her first Ballroom routine since their Quickstep in week one.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
