Eleanor, 26, and Aidan, who plays Ross Poldark, have starred in the show since it first aired back in 2015.
And they have certainly had to spent a lot of time together filming as they play husband and wife on screen.
However, away from shooting scenes, the two don’t always see eye-to-eye as Eleanor said they regularly row.
Speaking to Red Magazine, Eleanor spilled: “We’re great mates, although we do row. [We row about] everything – usually our characters.
“We’re both ridiculously protective of them and squabble like an old married couple.
“Usually it’s one of us saying that our character wouldn’t behave a certain way.”
Despite the arguments, Eleanor said it’s all in good fun as Aidan, 34, loves to “wind” her up.
She continued: “Aidan loves everything being his [character’s]. But then he loves to wind me up.”
Eleanor also opened up on whether she gets paid the same amount as her co-star Aidan.
The actress admitted she wouldn’t be surprised if they initially took home a different pay packet when they first started out.
However, Eleanor said she would be “upset” if she still didn’t receive the same pay as Aidan now.
When asked whether they’re paid equally, she said: “My guess is no.”
She added: “And while at the beginning that might have been OK – he was a bigger star than me – now I don’t think so. We’re equal leads of the show, so I’d be pretty upset if the gap hadn’t closed.”
Eleanor hasn’t just been busy filming season four of Poldark, as the star has also been involved in a very exciting new project.
The beauty is currently preparing for the release of her debut album, Tales From Home, next month.
And a couple of weeks ago, Eleanor treated her fans to a preview of what they can expect.
As well as releasing a sneak-peek from the record, she also showed off her stunning looks in a recent photoshoot.
The London-born stunner oozed elegance as she posed in a rural setting.
Wearing a cream gown which fell to the floor, Eleanor’s fiery locks took centre stage.
The album, which features a collection of folk-influenced covers, was produced by Poldark soundtrack composer Anne Dudley.
Poldark season four is expected to air on BBC One this summer.
