The time-travel romance has continued to gain in popularity with American and British audiences alike over the years, primarily because of the incredible chemistry between leads Sam (who plays Jamie Fraser) and Caitriona.
Outlander season four is set for some huge changes when it premieres this November, particularly because the Frasers have relocated to the American colonies.
Considering half of season three saw Jamie and Claire apart it seems every instalment of the epic STARZ drama will shake things up more and more.
Earlier this week Irish actress Caitriona, 38, met the Duke of Sussex, 33, at a garden party at the British Embassy, so could it be a hint for the future?
The pair shared a moment chatting with other Irish actors and it resulted in a photo of the group.
Caitriona beamed at Prince Harry while Vikings star Moe Dunford and Dunkirk actor Barry Keoghan seemed in hysterics over a particularly funny joke.
Scottish star Sam, 37, was nowhere to be seen but Caitriona and Harry could have been discussing potential prospects for her show going forward.
The duo could also have bonded over Harry’s new wife the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle, 36, is a seasoned Hollywood actress having spent seven years as a staple on law drama Suits.
The brunette gave up her acting career when she married Harry and as a result entered into a new job as part of the British royal family.
Yet Harry regularly visited Meghan during filming while the pair were dating, so the Duke will no doubt be clued up on the industry.
It’s unlikely Harry will give up his myriad commitments for a role on Outlander, but the pair definitely seemed to have a positive meeting, so who knows?
Regardless, fans can look forward to plenty of fresh talent in the upcoming fourth series of the show.
As well as a more prominent storyline for Brianna Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin) when they come to America, a slew of new characters are joining the cast.
Jamie’s Aunt Jocasta and his mother Ellen’s sister will be played by Downton Abbey alum Maria Doyle Kennedy.
Ed Speleers is also joining the show as pirate and smuggler Stephen Bonnet.
Stephen is set for a poignant storyline with 20-year-old Brianna on the series, which is sure to get viewers talking.
But will there be any surprise additions too?
Fans are still eager for long-term favourite Tobias Menzies, who played both evil villain Black Jack Randall and Claire’s first husband Frank Randall, to make a surprise return via flash-back.
Outlander season 4 returns to STARZ and Amazon Prime Video in November.
