The TV chef, James Martin, 46, presented Saturday Kitchen for ten years but in March 2016 he left the show.
Now James is exploring other avenues as he will be on his up-coming cooking tour where he will be putting his skills to the test on stage.
Having a successful career and love life can be challenging to juggle but James is keen to keep the two separate from the other.
The presenter is private about his personal life but has been in a relationship with television producer Louise Davies for seven years – and said he is not interested in marriage or children.
Speaking to OK magazine he said: “It doesn’t interest me in the slightest, mainly because I’ve catered for so many weddings.”
When speaking on not wanting children he said: “I go round to my mate’s house, who has four kids and realise that I don’t want them after about two minutes!”
James admitted he is very “content” with how his life and does not have much to complain to about professionally or personally.
He said: “I’m more content than I’ve ever been, that’s a good place to be.
“But I do think that you’ve got to keep your private life separate to your work life.”
The chef who competed in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2005 recently spoke about the Strictly curse after current competitors Seann Walsh and his professional dancer Katya Jones made headlines following their passionate kiss.
The presenter knows first-hand the intensity of starring on the popular dance show after he finished in fourth place with his professional dancer Camilla Dallerup.
He said: “You are in this snowball, and it’s going downhill at 100 miles per hour.
“You are going in there and you don’t realise what you’re walking into.”
He continued: “It’s a bubble that you are in, and there’s nothing like it. And there is nothing else like it on TV in terms of audience, and the sway that the show has.”
Speaking on the Katya Jones and Seann Walsh debacle, James expressed the media attention the Stricty stars receive.
On the kiss he said: “It’s all plastered on the front pages of the newspapers as soon as you get in there.”
Thankfully for the chef, the Strictly curse did not impact James on the dance floor but he revealed to Prima he lost five stone from the intense training.
James is best known for his work on Saturday Kitchen which he presented from 2006 up until 2016.
His TV career began when on The Big Breakfast and Ready Steady Cook but he has recently been fronting another show.
Currently the TV chef presents his own show Saturday Morning with James Martin on ITV.
