Will Doug Stamper expose Claire Underwood in House of Cards season 9?

In season six of House of Cards, Claire Underwood is president of the United States.

Her husband, Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) was confirmed as dead in the previous teaser clips.

Actor Kevin Spacey was let go from the show following sexual misconduct allegations.

The trailer suggests Claire has a lot of enemies in season six, Doug perhaps being one of them.

Doug was Claire husbands former White House Chief of Staff and former director of strategy.

He handed his resignation to Frank after contanstly having conflict with Claire in season five.

The extended trailer show shows Doug telling somebody viewers cannot see: “You said it yourself, she’s as guilty as he is. I’m saying maybe more.”

Fans of the show have been left wondering what exactly Doug is referring too.

It has not been revealed how Frank died exactly and fans are starting to suspect Claire may have been the one behind it.

A voice is then heard saying to Doug: “There isn’t a shadow for you to hide in anymore” which suggests Doug knows something about Claire others do not.

The trailer then cuts to Claire telling Doug: “I’m not going to be told what to do anymore, Doug. Not by you, or any man, every again.”

The trailer teases a violent end for Claire as the trailer flashes between scenes of violence, body bags and gunshots.

The trailer cuts to Doug saying: “Violence is a funny thing. It’s not so much the psychical pain that victims can remember, it’s the feelings around it. The fear.”

The trailer then ends with the words “everything must end” and an exchange between Doug and Mark Usher (Campbell Scott).

Mark asks Doug: “What do you fear most?”

Doug repsonds: “Her”

What is it that Doug fears?

Fans will have to wait until House of Cards drops on Netflix to find out if Doug exposes Claire Underwood.
