Elizabeth Hoffman, Benjamin Kubic – The New York Times

Elizabeth Bevan Hoffman and Benjamin Alan Kubic were married June 23 at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington. Rebecca Blake Chaikin, a friend of the couple who was authorized as a temporary marriage officiant by the District of Columbia, officiated.

The bride, 32, and groom, 29, met at Harvard, from which each received an M.B.A.

In July, the bride will become a senior operations manager at Oscar Health, an insurance company in New York. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.

She is the daughter of Ellen E. Hoffman and Michael B. Hoffman of New York. The bride’s father is the manager of library services in the New York office of Torys, a law firm based in Toronto. Her mother is the president of the New York City Tax Commission and Tax Appeals Tribunal.

The groom works in New York, where he isthe chief executive and a founder of Virgent Realty, a real estate technology start-up. He graduated from the University of Maryland.

He is the son of Leesa R. Fine and Milan J. Kubic of Bethesda, Md. The groom’s father, who worked in Silver Spring, Md., retired as a speechwriter for the Food and Drug Administration. He is also the author of “From Prague to Jerusalem: An Uncommon Journey of a Journalist” (Northern Illinois University Press, 2017).
