Last month, Coronation Street viewers saw young Simon Barlow (played by Alex Bain) terrorised nay his former friend Tyler and his gang.
Tyler harassed Simon after he gave evidence against him to the police which had led to him now facing jail time.
The teens group then tried to kidnap Simon but ended up shooting his father Peter (Chris Gascoyne) with a paintball gun.
It was enough to terrify the Barlow family as they feared one of them could be killed off in upcoming episodes.
And it seems things could go from bad to worse with Peter’s life in jeopardy once more.
Peter will learn that Carla Connor (Alison King) has hired Tyler’s mum Vicky to work at Underworld.
The factory owner pleads with Vicky to ask his son to call of his campaign to terrorise Simon.
However, it seems Vicky isn’t willing to let things slide easily as she warns Peter she is holding Simon responsible for Tyler’s potential incarceration.
Peter will then try to have Vicky fired from Underworld but Carla refuses and Simon begs his father not to make the situation worse.
Following his son’s pleas, Peter assures Vicky her job is safe but begs her once more to ask Tyler to stay away from Simon.
However, Tyler doesn’t seem like the type of person to back off easily and could become more infuriated when he learns Peter has been meddling with his mum’s life.
Could he return to the cobbles armed with a real gun this time and target Peter in a sick act of revenge?
Tyler is already facing jail time so may not care about the repercussions his actions could hold, especially if it meant ruining Simon’s life.
Furthermore, it has been hinted the Barlow family won’t get the peace they want.
An unknown source told Inside Soap: “Peter thinks that his peace-offering has done the trick.
“He goes back to speak to Carla, assuring her that everything has been sorted out, and he no longer wants Vicky to be fired.
“The question is: how long can the ceasefire last?”
Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and her sister Toyah (Georgia Taylor) look set to become embroiled in a love triangle.
The pair are both sleeping with Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) and in upcoming scenes the trio will go on a date together.
Will it end in tears or will this become a full time arrangement?
Coronation Street continues Monday on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
